Milan midfielders Gennaro Gattuso and Alberto Aquilani will be sidelined with injuries for the next month.
Sky Sport Italia is reporting the news this afternoon ahead of the Italian champions’ derby against Inter on Sunday night.
Gattuso was close to a comeback after being out since last September because of an optical nerve problem.
He was making real progress in recovering, but he’s now picked up an eye infection during the club’s recent winter tour of Dubai.
Aquilani, meanwhile, will be in the treatment room for four weeks after the Italian international picked up an ankle injury.
There were fears that the former Liverpool, Roma and Juventus man could need surgery, but an operation has been ruled out.
