Bottom of the table Novara are adamant that boss Attilio Tesser won’t be shown the door after another defeat.
Novara lost 3-1 to relegation-threatened Cesena at the weekend which did raise some questions about the future of the Coach.
However, sporting director Mauro Pederzoli has told the Corriere di Novara that the tactician’s job is safe.
“He’s never been up for discussion,” Pederzoli commented. “It’s not part of our club culture to dismiss a Coach during a campaign.
“The defeat to Cesena was horrible, but we have to look ahead now. Fortunately the gap between ourselves and safety hasn’t increased.”
The side promoted from Serie B last season are six points away from the ‘safe’ Bologna and Siena.
