Marco Borriello has Scudetto ambitions for Roma and admits he was “hurt” by his former Milan fans jeering him last night.
“I was a little hurt by the jeers. I didn't expect them, as I did not make any aggressive gestures during my celebration,” said the goal-scorer.
He is still owned by the Rossoneri, but has found his form on loan in Rome.
“In any case, I am happy for my team and we closed the gap on the leaders to seven points.
“I am finding consistency in terms of performances and scoring some decisive goals. Roma have proved we are a competitive side.
“Do we have a shot at the Scudetto? I have always said so, even during the difficult opening games. Our squad is extraordinary and it all depends on us.”
