Qualifying for Europe is the objective for Serie A side Genoa, goalkeeper Sebastien Frey has revealed.
The Rossoblu have had an inconsistent campaign to date. They are currently eighth in the standings and replaced boss Alberto Malesani with Pasquale Marino before Christmas.
“Europe is a difficult target to reach and we all know that,” the Frenchman told Il Secolo XIX. “However, that is our objective – if not this season then next.”
The former Inter custodian moved to Marassi in the summer after he was told to find a new club by Fiorentina.
And he seems more than happy with his choice of a transfer.
“Every time that we step on to the field at the Stadio Ferraris, we see a full stadium which fires us up,” he continued. “That’s something very special.”
