The Dutchman made a brief appearance in the 1-0 derby win over Milan at the weekend, but that was his first game since November.

Sneijder starts in support of lone striker Luc Castaignos, while Andrea Poli also gets a rare start.

Cristian Chivu has been rested as a precautionary measure due to a slight muscular problem, confirmed the official Inter website.

Genoa have completely revamped their line-up, as Coach Pasquale Marino gives Ze Eduardo and Lucas Pratto the forward reins.

New signing Giuseppe Sculli is on the bench after his transfer from Lazio.
