Cavani: 'Napoli want a trophy'

Edinson Cavani celebrated his brace that put Napoli into the Coppa Italia semi-final. “We want to win something important.”

The Partenopei may be struggling for Serie A form, but they sent Inter to their first defeat of 2012 with tonight’s 2-0 result.

“We must always look ahead at what comes next and keep on fighting, because we want to win something important,” said El Matador.

He broke the deadlock from the penalty spot, just days after seeing his spot-kick saved against Siena.

“What happened is already in the past. The most important thing was to win and we achieved it, so we’re all happy.”

Napoli could have an easy path to the Final, as their next opponents over two legs are Siena.

“We always try to prepare as best we can and leave our souls on the pitch. We’ll keep going like this and try to improve every day.”
