Milan were too good, says Rocchi

Lazio’s Tommaso Rocchi has no complaints after his side were knocked out of the Coppa Italia by Milan on Thursday.

The Biancocelesti took the lead at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza with an early goal from Djbril Cisse, but the Rossoneri hit back to win 3-1.

“You have to give Milan merit,” the veteran striker noted. “We were not able to put them into difficulty and that wasn’t just down to us.

“It is never easy to play at Milan and we particularly struggled to deal with how they kept possession of the ball.

“Now all that we can do is to turn the page and concentrate on the championship.”

Fifth-placed Lazio are away in Serie A this weekend when they travel to Verona to take on Chievo.
