Maxi Lopez reveals “it was my choice to wait for Milan and I’d do it all again, because playing here has always been my dream.”
The ex-Catania striker was left in limbo for the better part of a month and spent days locked in a hotel room waiting for the transfer to be completed.
It almost fell apart at the last minute, as the Rossoneri went close to securing Carlos Tevez from Manchester City instead.
“It was my choice to wait for Milan and I think anyone would do the same,” the Argentine told Milan Channel.
“I’d do it all again, because playing here has always been my dream. I made this choice with my heart. Of course, everyone has their own dreams and opinions.
“I always trained hard at Catania and continued to train even in the last few days, albeit in a different way. I’d love to step on to the field tomorrow and am ready, so we’ll see what the Coach says.”
However, Massimiliano Allegri has hinted Maxi Lopez will not be in the squad for Sunday night’s encounter with Cagliari, as he still hasn’t started training with Milan.
