Napoli have no regrets about missing out on Antonio Candreva, while they insist they never made a January move for Angelo Palombo.
The Azzurri were linked with both players before Candreva moved from Cesena to Lazio and Palombo left Sampdoria for Inter on deadline day.
“We didn’t conclude a deal for Candreva because he was not a priority for us,” sporting director Riccardo Bigon told Radio Marte.
“As for Palombo, he was never an objective for Napoli. The January window is of little use to teams if you’ve already worked well in the summer…”
Napoli signed just one player in January, Chilean international striker Eduardo Vargas.
