Lazio have an injury crisis on their hands for tonight’s Serie A encounter with Cesena, as Antonio Candreva faces his old club and Vincenzo Iaquinta makes his debut.
This fixture was brought forward to Thursday evening because the Six Nations rugby match between Italy and England will be played in Rome on Saturday.
Edy Reja is without eight players, as Mobido Diakitè is suspended, joining the injured Emiliano Alfaro, Cristian Brocchi, Lorik Cana, Andre Dias, Stefano Mauri, Stefan Radu and Tommaso Rocchi.
Hernanes is still struggling with a right ankle problem, but is risked in the starting XI, unlike Marius Stankevicius.
Luciano Zauri therefore moves to centre-back and Senad Lulic switches to left-back. More importantly, Candreva gets his first start for Lazio and does so against the team he left just over a week ago.
Cesena are without Yohan Benalouane, Vangelis Moras and Steve Von Bergen, so also reshuffle their defence for this trip to the Olimpico.
Iaquinta gets his debut in attack alongside fellow ex-Juventus star Adrian Mutu.
