Andrea Poli is confident Inter can again put a winning streak together – starting with this weekend’s match against Novara.
The Nerazzurri got themselves back in the title race by collecting 21 points from a possible 21. However, they’ve now picked up a draw and two losses from their last three games.
“We must do well so that we can shake off this moment and get going again,” the midfielder told Inter Channel.
“We didn't win seven games in a row by chance. There's a winning mentality in our dressing room and I want it to stay that way for a long time.
“Inter want to carry on winning. It's easy to say we're all good when we're winning and then point the finger at other times.
“We're focused on getting the ball rolling again and I'd like to see the team take another big step forward starting with Novara.
“We've had a few games in which we weren't at our best but now we can start winning again.”
Inter may be low on confidence though given that they have conceded eight goals in their last two games – a 4-4 draw with Palermo and a 4-0 loss at Roma.
“We want to bounce back straight away by beating Novara at all costs,” the summer signing from Sampdoria noted. “We're all determined to do well for the club and for ourselves.”
Inter are currently fifth in the table, nine points behind leaders Juventus – but the Turin giants do have a game in hand.
