Amauri has not scored yet for new club Fiorentina and admits “every night I dream of my first goal in a Viola jersey.”
The striker joined on loan from Juventus last month after spending the entire campaign in the stands over a contract dispute.
“Since the moment I arrived in Florence, every night I dream of my first goal in a Viola jersey,” Amauri told Sky Sport Italia.
He spent the final six months of last season on loan at Parma, where he scored seven goals in 11 games, but on Sunday will face the Ducali.
“I aim to repeat with Fiorentina the good work I did last year at Parma. I want to win over the Fiorentina fans so I can earn myself a contract renewal.
“I’m ready to give my all, as it was so hard being unable to play for six months.”
