Ambitious Paloschi eyes glorious future

Milan-owned Chievo striker Alberto Paloschi has set himself some big targets for the future.

The Italian Under-21 international is currently focused on keeping his club in the top flight, but he has other long-term hopes.

“I’m never content with myself because I know that I can always do better,” the 22-year-old told L’Arena.

“I’m trying to steal the secrets of [teammate Sergio] Pellissier as he is a reference point for me. He’s a great player.

“I want to finish the season in double figures and that would be a very satisfying achievement for me,” he continued.

“I also one day hope to finish a campaign at the top of the scoring charts and break into the full Italian national side.”

Paloschi, who spent last season at Parma and Genoa, has four goals in 17 Serie A games for the Verona outfit so far.

Chievo have the option to sign a 50 per cent share in the player at the end of the present campaign.

Chievo are in action tonight when they face Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo.
