Milan have been encouraged by the return of a number first-team names to training ahead of the Champions League meeting with Arsenal this week.
The Rossoneri face the Premier League side on Wednesday in the Last 16 of UEFA’s premier competition with the likes of Kevin Prince Boateng, Alexandre Pato, Alessandro Nesta and Christian Abbiati all back to full training at Milanello on Monday.
The quartet sat out the weekend’s 2-1 win at Udinese, alongside nine other teammates through injury or suspension. All four are now expected to play a part on Wednesday night, easing Coach Massimiliano Allegri’s selection fears ahead of the European encounter. Last season saw Milan eliminated at the same stage of the competition to Arsenals’ cross-town rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Mathieu Flamini and Sulley Muntari will also be back to full training by Tuesday, but neither are in contention for the Gunners’ visit as they are not on the club’s Champions League squad list.
