Inter have formally parted company with Rafa Benitez after just six months in charge at San Siro.
Benitez's agent met Inter's lawyers this morning to discuss the rescission of his contract.
Inter President Massimo Moratti took act with Benitez's decision to ask for three or four new signings in January after a difficult start to the season.
A statement on the club's website read: "Inter and Rafael Benitez would like to communicate that, consensually and with mutual satisfaction, they have reached an agreement for the early resolution of their working relationship.
"Inter would once again like to thank Rafael Benitez for the work he has done in charge of the team, which has brought success in the Italian Super Cup and the Club World Cup."
Benitez also thanked Inter "for the experience and the victories we had together."
