Didier Deschamps insists Olympique Marseille expect “a different Inter” to face them in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The Nerazzurri were embarrassed 3-0 at home by Bologna last night, meaning they’ve picked up one point from their last six official games.
Marseille Coach Deschamps was in the stands at San Siro to watch the debacle, but spoke to media before the game had kicked off.
“It is always better to see these matches live,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “I saw Inter’s recent outings on television, but now I need to see their latest moves with my own eyes.
“Inter had problems in the last few rounds and by now I think the Scudetto is only a mirage. However, on Wednesday I expect to see a different Inter in Marseille, a team that will be fired up and fight hard for the result.”
Deschamps is a former player and Coach of Juventus, so is keeping a keen eye on Antonio Conte’s efforts.
“I am happy for Conte and he certainly has the advantage of knowing the club and its mentality. They invested heavily and are doing great work. Let us also not forget the stadium, as having such a fiery atmosphere is without doubt a big advantage.”
