Francesco Guidolin insists Udinese “are pushing through every difficulty,” but won’t blame Antonio Di Natale’s absence for their poor form.
The Friulani were held to a 0-0 home draw by Cagliari and since Di Natale picked up his injury, they have not been able to score in Serie A or the Europa League.
“Cagliari were trying to waste time and play out the stalemate. There are regrets after this game, as we could’ve won it,” said Guidolin.
“I can’t ask for any more from my lads, as they are pushing through every difficulty. We created a great deal and forced Cagliari to play very defensively.
“We were unable to score due to a lack of accuracy, but I don’t think it depends on Di Natale’s absence. Before we used to take the lead pretty quickly, whereas today we had several chances that rattled around in front of goal without going in.”
