Roma have announced that they have tied midfielder Simone Perrotta to a new contract, keeping him at the club for an extra year.
Perrotta’s original deal was due to expire at the end of this season, but a club statement released on Monday evening has confirmed that he has now put pen to paper on a one year extension.
The 34-year-old’s wage will immediately be adjusted to the new agreed upon annual figure of €2.6m gross, whilst there are several bonuses inserted that will likely boost that further.
Perrotta joined Roma in 2004 from Chievo and is closing in on 300 appearances in all competitions for the Giallorossi.
