Fiorentina will hold talks with sporting director Pantaleo Corvino about his future during the month of March.
The transfer official is only tied to the outfit until the summer and he has shown some hesitation in committing his future to the Viola.
Corvino has been criticised by disgruntled Viola fans this season following his work in the market and the club’s struggles on the pitch.
However, Tuscan officials are said to be willing to offer him a new contract – even if that may now be just a 12-month extension rather than a fresh three-year agreement.
La Nazione is today claiming that the two parties will sit down and hold negotiations in around three weeks’ time.
