Edy Reja is currently at the Lazio offices for a crunch meeting with President Claudio Lotito after tending his resignation.
The Coach caused shockwaves when sending a fax with his resignation just hours before the team was due to leave for the Europa League trip to Atletico Madrid on Wednesday afternoon.
He was originally set to stay at home, but eventually went with the squad to Spain, where a 1-0 defeat ensured their 4-1 aggregate exit.
Reja took charge of today’s training session at the Formello training ground and at around 16.25 UK time went towards the Lazio offices within the complex.
President Lotito had not yet arrived, but is expected imminently. It’s not clear whether Lazio will accept the resignation or reject it again, as they had done on Wednesday.
There were also reports that director of sport Igli Tare had resigned, but these were not confirmed.
