Roma to swap Pizarro for Sculli?

There are reports that Roma are prepared to hand David Pizarro over to Genoa in exchange for Giuseppe Sculli.

The Giallorossi need a replacement for Julio Baptista, who is considering offers from England, Spain and further afield.

Sculli would fit the bill, as he is a versatile figure who can play in a trident attack, wide or deeper role.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Genoa are open to the trade, but only if it includes Pizarro.

The Chilean midfielder had been considered a key figure in the Giallorossi squad, but has fallen out of favour recently.

Coach Claudio Ranieri insists it is purely a matter of fitness, but there are reports that he could give the all-clear for a sale.
