Fabio Borini is still buzzing from his senior Italy debut and hopes for the same sensations in his first Rome derby.
The Under-21 striker was promoted to the Azzurri for Wednesday’s 1-0 friendly defeat to the USA and impressed when coming off the bench.
“I go into the derby the same way as I did my first senior match for Italy. I am very curious,” the Roma starlet told Il Messaggero.
“I have never played in a derby before. It will be a great novelty for me and I must make sure I am ready for the challenge.
“You really cannot compare the Olimpico clash to the London derbies, as it’s a whole different atmosphere,” added the former Chelsea hitman.
“My next objective? I take it one game at a time. Having made it into the Italy squad was very satisfying, but the turning point in my career would only be a call-up for Euro 2012.”
