Palermo chief ashamed of Milan loss

Palermo chief Maurizio Zamparini has blasted his team after the 4-0 home loss to Milan. “It was embarrassing.”

The Rosanero went into the game with the second best home record in the whole Division, but were swept aside by a Zlatan Ibrahimovic-inspired Diavolo.

“The team seen in the second half of the game against Milan was embarrassing, we were like a Serie C side,” the President told the Giornale di Sicilia.

“I think that boss Bortolo Mutti, after getting on the right train against Lazio, has now finished up on the wrong one.

“Everyone is now under examination.”

The Stadio Barbera supremo was also frustrated by the fact that his side shipped in four more goals. They’ve now let in 43 this term.

“I spent around €16m on Andrea Mantovani, Matias Silvestre and goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano and I’m still seeing defensive errors.

“We have the third worst defensive record in the League now. We have to play with more attention out there.”

Palermo face Roma next.
