Juraj Kucka is confident Genoa can take advantage of the Juventus frailties today. “It won’t be easy for Arturo Vidal to play as a defender.”
The Bianconeri are without Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli and the suspended Leonardo Bonucci for their trip to Marassi, so Vidal or Luca Marrone could be re-routed to centre-back.
“It won’t be easy for Vidal to play as a defender, as changing position is not a simple thing to do,” noted Kucka.
“I know what it’s like to play in the back, as I did it many, many years ago. We can make the most of this situation.
“Alberto Gilardino is back too, as he and Rodrigo Palacio are crucial players for us. We are without a win in five, but beating Antonio Conte’s side could be the turning point.”
Kucka’s contract is still half-owned by Inter and the midfielder is reportedly heading to San Siro next season.
“I am not thinking about what could be. I am happy in Genoa. My performances weren’t great at the start of the season because I need a little time to hit form. I’m healthier and therefore doing better now.”
