Genoa are being linked with a move for Marco Borriello once the Roma player’s loan stint at Juventus ends.
The Old Lady do have an option to sign the Italian international outright in the summer, but he’s struggled to impress in Turin.
The 29-year-old has played in six League games so far for the Bianconeri, but he has failed to score in the black and white jersey.
Juve are now considered as unlikely to sign the forward for €8m – the figure set in the deal agreed at the start of 2012.
Given that Roma have already made it clear that Borriello is not part of their plans, Borriello looks like he could be on the move again come the summer.
Genoa are said to be keen given that Borriello caught the eye for the Grifone during the 2007-08 campaign.
However, a possible problem is the Italian’s salary as Borriello nets around €3m a season after tax.
