Didier Deschamps sees Inter as favourites for Tuesday’s Champions League second leg encounter with his Marseille side.
The former Juventus player and Coach takes his team to San Siro with a 1-0 aggregate lead to defend and is boosted by the return of Loic Remy in attack. However, he has looked to place the expectancy upon the home side.
“It is clear that after the first leg there is a small advantage, but Inter remains the favourite,” Deschamps expressed in his pre-game Press conference.
“I do not expect an easy time. However, we have nothing to lose and I think there is still a good chance we can qualify.
“Obviously I prefer to have all my players available and Loic Remy even more. He is our best player, our top scorer and he gives us efficiency. His return along with that of Stephane Mbia gives us a little more strength, which we will need tomorrow, Inter will put us under pressure.
“We must be able to resist it, but not only that, we need to play too. If we are fortunate enough to score a goal then it will become much more complicated for Inter.
“Our intentions are there - can we implement them? We will see.
“The big difference between the sides is that we have two results that qualify us while Inter only has one. They are obliged to win.”
