Mattia Destro has what is needed to become a player at a top club, insists Siena sporting director Giorgio Perinetti.
The 20-year-old is being linked with a host of big teams and that doesn’t come as a surprise to the former Bari official.
“He is a player who is being tracked by a lot of teams,” Perinetti told Sky Sport Italia. “He has to improve, but he has some extraordinary technical qualities.
“If he continues to grow and becomes more consistent then he could become a player with one of the top clubs.”
The Italian Under-21 striker is currently on loan from Genoa, but Siena have an enforced option to buy a 50 per cent share of his contract in June.
Destro will be needed by Siena this term after star striker Emanuele Calaio was ruled out for the rest of the campaign with injury.
