Parma boss Roberto Donadoni admits his side will have to be virtually perfect to get anything out of Saturday’s game against Milan.
The Rossoneri have won four of their last five games in Serie A which has seen them open up a four-point cushion over Juventus at the top of the table.
Parma, meanwhile, haven’t won since a 2-1 win at Chievo in Week 22 and they are just six points clear of the drop zone.
“We need to play with great concentration and intensity,” the former Rossoneri winger stated on Tuesday.
“If we allow them space to hit us on the counter-attack then we will be punished by them. The less mistakes we make then the better the chances of us taking something positive from the game.
“We will need a lot of focus and power.”
Donadoni is well aware that Milan will start the tie as favourites, but he’s expecting some answers from his players at the Tardini.
“I’ll be looking at my team, our performance will be the most important thing,” added the former Italy boss.
“I’m looking for my players to give their best on Saturday. We’re playing against the League leaders and it is always enticing to show your qualities against the big teams.
“I obviously don’t know what the score will be, but I would like the team to be in a position to put in a good display.”
