Pastore turns down Real and Barca

Javier Pastore has revealed how he decided to turn down offers from Real Madrid and Barcelona because he wants to keep developing at Palermo.

The Argentina international playmaker is one of the brightest talents in Serie A and recently renewed his contract at the Renzo Barbera.

Interviewed in Ole, Pastore said: "The offers from Barcelona and Real Madrid were concrete. They approached the club.

"Most of the players would accept but I chose to stay in Palermo because I know that I'll always play here.

"I'm learning a lot. I don't want to stop learning. When I'm sure that I'm going to a great club to play then I'll go.

"I don't want leave and then after six months have to go out on loan to another club where I'd have to start all over again.

"If I keep growing, the offers will come around again."
