Francesco Totti has laughed off his lack of goals this season, insisting that he is saving them all for the final stretch.
The 34-year-old has scored just twice in Serie A in the current campaign, partly because he is playing further away from goal.
Writing on his official website, Totti was keen to make light of the situation.
"I am saving them for the second half of the season," he joked.
Reflecting on yesterday's 4-2 win over Catania, Totti said: "This was a very important victory if we think back to how the game went."
Roma went 1-0 up, then 2-1 down before scoring three goals without reply to make sure of the win.
"We had started well, taking the lead with a goal from Marco Borriello, but then Catania got back into the game, equalising and going ahead.
"At that point the game got complicated. But in the second half we had the right reaction, which allowed us to turn the result around again.
"In the end we got three big points which mean we get off to a good start to the year."
