Reto Ziegler has still not renewed his Sampdoria contract, so the Swiss international is reportedly in talks with Milan.
It is well-known the Rossoneri are on the look-out for a new full-back during the January transfer window.
According to newspaper ‘Secolo XIX' their interest has moved on to Ziegler, who would be available for around €2.5m.
He would bring the kind of versatility and experience that Coach Massimiliano Allegri is looking for.
Ziegler's contract is set to expire in June and he had already been on the verge of joining Malaga, but he rejected the transfer to Spain.
There is also the fact that Ziegler shares an agent with Milan's latest acquisition, Antonio Cassano.
