Marchisio: 'I'd turn down Chelsea'

Claudio Marchisio claims he is so determined to spend his career at Juventus that he'd “say no thank you to Real Madrid, Barcelona or Chelsea.”

The midfielder's contract renewal has been postponed, fuelling reports of a summer sale to rivals Inter.

“It would make me proud to be of interest to the top clubs, but I want to stay at Juve forever,” he told Tuttosport.

“If I was called by Real Madrid, Barcelona or Chelsea, I would be very polite, but my response would be: ‘No, thank you.

“It's true there was contact with Inter during the summer, but I would never have gone there. I want a career only in the Bianconeri jersey.”

Marchisio grew up in the Juve youth academy and has progressed to the first team as well as the Nazionale.
