Flu sweeps through Beretta's Brescia

Brescia boss Mario Beretta is dealing with a new crisis ahead of today's clash with Palermo. “Now we've got a flu epidemic!”

The Rondinelle are struggling to avoid relegation and every point counts, but they have a decimated squad for this afternoon's encounter.

“We have been battling amid injuries and suspension for several weeks and now we've got a flu epidemic!” moaned the Coach.

“I still want to play with three forwards, so I might have to reshuffle things and move some players from their natural position.”

Alessandro Diamanti and Francesco Bega are suspended, while Matteo Sereni and Eder are injured.

On top of that, Adam Vass, Davide Zoboli and Fabio Daprelà are major doubts due to the flu virus sweeping its way through the squad.

“Palermo have players of great talent, especially down the flanks,” added Beretta.

“As for a star like Javier Pastore, you can only stop someone like that with the aid of a cannon!”
