Philippe Mexes is ready to extend his contract with Roma, although it's said that he will ask for a minimum fee release clause to be inserted into the deal.
The France international's current agreement expires at the end of the season and there has been reported interest from Juventus and Milan.
Earlier this month, Roma President Rosella Sensi said that she is prepared to open talks with Mexes and hopes that a deal is reached as soon as possible.
La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Mexes' agent Olivier Jouanneaux will be in Rome over the next 10 days to discuss the matter further.
Reports suggest that he will ask for a €15m buy-out clause to be included in the new contract.
