According to the latest reports, only €6m separate Inter from Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini, offering Jonathan Biabiany as part of the deal.
This week Nerazzurri President Massimo Moratti publicly confirmed his club was looking into the opportunity to sign Pazzini during the January transfer window.
Sky Sport Italia suggest Inter offered €6m cash plus full ownership of 22-year-old French talent Biabiany.
However, Sampdoria are holding out for double that cash sum in the transfer.
The matter could be smoothed over by including Brazilian striker Philippe Coutinho as part of the exchange.
Pazzini had already been heavily linked with a January switch to Juventus, but Inter seem to be in advanced negotiations for the 26-year-old Italy star.
