Burdisso also a derby doubt

Nicolas Burdisso is also a risk for the Rome derby and could be replaced by his younger brother, Guillermo.

The Roma defender limped off during last night's 3-2 Champions League victory away to Basel.

According to today's reports, he has sprained his ankle without ligament or bone damage.

Nonetheless, it's a race against time for Burdisso to recover for the derby clash with Lazio on Sunday afternoon.

In Basel he was replaced by brother Guillermo and, with Philippe Mexes still struggling due to a flu virus, the younger Burdisso could start the Derby della Capitale.

David Pizarro, Rodrigo Taddei, Matteo Brighi and Adriano are all out of action, while captain Francesco Totti will be suspended.
