Reja: 'Now Lazio can set targets'

Edy Reja marks a turning point in Lazio's campaign after today's victory. “We are mathematically safe, now for the Europa League.”

The Biancocelesti are currently in second place and could be considered Scudetto contenders, but the tactician is keeping calm after the 2-0 win over Fiorentina.

“Today we have 40 points, therefore are mathematically safe and anything else that we achieve this season will be a bonus,” said Reja.

“We'll battle for the Europa League, as that is now our objective. If we achieve that, then it will have been a great campaign.”

Although they have invested in Giuseppe Sculli over the transfer window, it is youngster Libor Kozak who impressed with his brace today.

“Kozak had already shown against Roma that he had talent and did so again not just with his goals, but also his work rate. This lad can see the net and that is down to instinct, plus we've worked with him over the last six months to help him improve.”

Hernanes was only introduced for the final minutes and Reja explained why.

“I rested him because we have a very important game with Milan on Tuesday and I think he'll be fresh for that.”
