Dutch international Royston Drenthe reveals “I had a deal with Juventus, but Hercules wouldn't release me.”

The former Real Madrid winger has repeatedly been linked with a Serie A switch to Juve, Milan or Inter.

“I am sad because the club wouldn't let me go,” commented the 23-year-old after transfer deadline day.

“Juventus wanted me and I had a deal, but Hercules wouldn't release me. As a good professional, I will now give my all for this team.

“However, if they keep me in the stands then I cannot show my worth.”
