The agent of Adriano has confirmed reports that his client has asked Roma if he can spend some time back in Brazil.
The striker, who reportedly wants to celebrate his birthday on February 17 with friends, is currently out injured with a shoulder problem.
"Adriano has spoken with the club to see if he can go to Brazil," Gilmar Rinaldi told Vocegiallorossa.it.
"We have to wait and see what the club's response to that request is. But there is plenty of time, it's not an immediate thing."
The South American, 28, joined Roma in the summer but has found life back in Serie A tough, so much so that whispers suggest he's looking for a transfer.
"The player has a contract with Roma and he wants to respect it," Rinaldi said when asked about the striker's future.
