Mazzarri calms Scudetto talk

Walter Mazzarri insists Napoli aren't targeting the Scudetto or any other specific objective. “We're racing ourselves.”

The Partenopei beat Cesena 2-0 this afternoon to close the gap from leaders Milan to just three points.

“We're racing ourselves and not targeting anyone in particular,” insisted the Coach. “I'm glad the fans have also understood the situation and are keeping a balanced view.

“It was a good performance considering all the energy we have used up in recent weeks. It didn't take long for us to forget Wednesday's defeat at Chievo, as the lads realised their mistakes.

“That was an off day in Verona and we immediately proved that we weren't going to make the same errors again.

“I was particularly pleased with Edinson Cavani's goal, as it was more or less exactly the move we try out in training. The only problem is few of our players can really ‘see' the goal, like Juan Zuniga, so we have to work on that.”
