Inter's Champions League hopes have been hit by an injury to Diego Milito which could see him sidelined for 40 days.
The Argentine, who has had fitness issues all season, picked up a muscle problem in Sunday's 5-3 win over Roma.
The 2010 World Cup striker underwent scans earlier today which confirmed a muscle strain in his left thigh.
At this stage, Inter expect Milito to be out of action for 30-40 days which will come as a huge blow to boss Leonardo.
Although the Coach does have Giampaolo Pazzini available as cover in Serie A, the January signing can't play in the Champions League.
