Baresi reveals Inter tactical shift

Leonardo has lost his voice, so assistant manager Beppe Baresi explained Inter's tactics in their Florence victory.

“The shouting from the touchline took away what little voice Leonardo had left,” said Baresi when he turned up for post-match interviews.

Giampaolo Pazzini turned in a Samuel Eto'o pull-back to give them a 2-1 win over Fiorentina in the rescheduled Week 17 Serie A match.

“It is an important victory. We absolutely needed the three points and we got them. Fiorentina were among the form teams at the moment, but we stayed solid.

“Ours was a more than positive performance. We put Eto'o on the right to pile pressure on Manuel Pasqual, who pushes up more than Gianluca Comotto.”

The victory means Inter no longer have a game in hand and are in third place, just five points off leaders Milan.

“The Scudetto? We are going into a series of Finals from here to the end of the season.”
