Palermo striker Abel Hernandez is recovering after an armed robbery that saw a gun placed in his mouth.
The Uruguayan forward was coming home from the Rosanero training ground at 18.30 local time on Wednesday when he was stopped and forced out of his car.
The robber put the gun in Hernandez's mouth to frighten him into handing over his watch and jewellery.
Reports suggest the player is in shock, but was able to return home and call the police.
