Marco Borriello was far from happy to start on the bench when Roma played Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League last night.
The absence of Roma's top scorer from the starting line up was met with great surprise among the fans and media.
Although Borriello did later make an appearance as a second half substitute, Roma lost 3-2 and now have a mountain to climb in the second leg.
Sky Italia's staff lip readers reviewed footage of Borriello complaining on the sidelines and deduced that he had said: "I'm on the bench and I've scored 25,000 goals."
Asked if it were true after the game, he replied: "I didn't want to offend anyone."
It's not the first time Borriello has clashed with Ranieri this season.
He was visibly angry with the Coach after being substituted against Napoli in October.
