Garrone ready to reinvest in Samp

The Garrone family has revealed plans to reinvest in Sampdoria amid great unrest among the supporters.

The Blucerchiati sold Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini during the January transfer window and have lost five of their last six games.

Earlier this month reports indicated that Sampdoria President Riccardo Garrone is fed up with football, especially following his well-documented argument with Cassano in October.

He refused to meet a supporters' group a couple of weeks ago, hinting that he needs to take a break.

Disgruntled fans assembled at the club's training ground in Bogliasco yesterday to express their unhappiness.

However, last night, Edoardo Garrone held a meeting with Sampdoria directors in which he said: "We are ready to re-launch the team."

Sampdoria currently lie 13th in Serie A and face Fiorentina this weekend.
