Del Neri sees 'Juve turning point'

Gigi Del Neri feels the game against Lecce is “an important turning point in the season for Juventus.”

The Bianconeri are fresh from two straight wins over Cagliari and Inter, but are still in sixth place.

“At this moment, we must take nothing for granted,” warned the Coach. “Lecce will be motivated and eager to do well, so it's an important turning point in the season for Juventus.

“We must have the same motivation that we had against Inter. Lecce create many scoring opportunities, so we've got to get it into our heads that we should go there with concentration and great respect.

“We are thinking of winning our games, then we'll see what the other sides are doing. The other clubs always focus on catching up with those ahead of them, so why can't we?”

Del Neri suggested Alessandro Matri will again partner Luca Toni up front, leaving captain Alessandro Del Piero on the bench.

“I hope Matri can continue to fight for the Capocannoniere title, as that would mean we are doing well. In any case, I never rely on a single player, but on the team.”
