Fiorentina have ruled out a January move for Sampdoria enigma Antonio Cassano. "We already have Adrian Mutu."
The Viola are just one of numerous clubs associated with the Italian international who looks set for a Marassi exit after falling out with the port outfit.
However, although the Tuscan club almost signed him at the start of 2010, they insist he's no longer on their agenda.
"He was a step away from joining us in January, but he is no longer of interest because we have Mutu," Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino noted.
"I don't know where he will go or whether he will join a big club."
When asked who was better between Cassano and the equally controversial Mutu, Corvino responded with a Neapolitan proverb.
"Even a cockroach looks beautiful to his own mother," he noted.
