President Rosella Sensi announced “we will make a decision tomorrow morning” on Roma's new Coach.
Claudio Ranieri tended his resignation this evening and spoke to the ANSA news agency, outlining his reasons.
“We can only take note of his statements,” President Sensi told ANSA.
“We will not be doing anything tonight. We reserve the right to make a decision tomorrow morning, after a meeting that will include myself, the directors and players.”
Meanwhile, fans ‘welcomed' the players back from their 4-3 defeat to Genoa by hurling oranges and eggs at the team bus when it arrived at the Trigoria training ground.
The ultras have made their position clear, already calling for former player and current youth academy boss Vincenzo Montella to take over.
