Montella names first Roma squad

Vincenzo Montella has named his first squad as Roma Coach for tomorrow's rescheduled Serie A game with Bologna.

The match was originally snowed off on January 30 at the Stadio Dall'Ara after 17 minutes of football in difficult circumstances.

Claudio Ranieri was on the bench at the time, but it will be Montella's debut as Giallorossi tactician and kicks off at 17.30 UK time.

He is still without the suspended Aleandro Rosi and injured Simone Perrotta and Adriano, but Philippe Mexes and Mirko Vucinic return.

There are reports Montella will return to the old guard by giving Alexander Doni the gloves rather than Julio Sergio.

Ranieri was reticent to bring David Pizarro back from a long injury spell, but the Chilean could make his comeback under Montella.

Meanwhile, Gian Paolo Montali will be appointed new operative director at AS Roma with responsibility over the club and team.

Roma squad: Lobont, Julio Sergio, Doni; Juan, Mexes, Loria, N Burdisso, Cassetti, Rosi, Riise; Pizarro, Taddei, De Rossi, Simplicio, Brighi, Pettinari, Menez, Greco; Vucinic, Totti, Borriello
