Genoa President Enrico Preziosi has hit out at journalists who criticised his side earlier in the season and would now like to get back on the bandwagon.
The Rossoblu have won each of their last two games and appear to be on the brink of realising their potential in the final third of the season.
Genoa started the campaign in a lacklustre fashion despite spending in excess of €30m on new players.
Interviewed in La Repubblica, Preziosi said: "It makes me smile to see how the people who tried to get off the bandwagon when Genoa didn't seem to be going in the right direction are now trying to get back on.
"And it's all the more entertaining to observe how I am suddenly getting lots of text messages again. But there is no longer any space left on my bandwagon.
"I say that with great serenity and without resentment.
"I was the first to recognise that there were mistakes made and that we had to remedy them."
